 A comprehensive treatment of the ecology, causes, and consequences of species extinctions. Factors considered include ecology and problems of individual species, socio-economic pressures, and conservation techniques and strategies. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing and an introductory biology course. Perequisite: sophomore standing and intro biology. 3 cr/fall.
